Rabbi Yaakov Dahan created Gesharim to service the thousands of students who study at universities in Israel from around the world. Gesharim serves as a home where each student receives individual attention.

Gesharim's main branch is located across from the student dorms at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and another branch is located at IDC Hertzliya. Rabbi Yaakov's goal is to open a branch at every university in Israel, where students can have the opportunity to explore their heritage in a warm an open environment.
